Beryllium Copper Alloys

Beryllium Copper Manufacturer, Supplier, Exporter, Distributors & Wholesaler in India

Beryllium Copper is one of the highest strength copper based alloys available. The commercial grades of beryllium copper alloys contain 0.4 to 2.0 percent beryllium. The small ratio of beryllium to copper creates a family of high copper alloys with strength as high as alloy steel. The first of the two families, C17200 and C17300 includes high strength with moderate conductivity while the second family, C17500 and C17510 offers high conductivity with moderate strength. The principal characteristics of these alloys are their excellent response to precipitation-hardening treatments, excellent thermal conductivity and resistance to stress relaxation.

Beryllium copper alloys like beryllium copper rods, beryllium copper bars, beryllium copper plates & beryllium copper sheets are utilized in very specific and often tailor-made applications such as oilfield tools, aerospace landing gears, robotic welding and mold making applications. Additional non-magnetic properties make it ideal for down-hole wire line tools. These specific applications are the reason this copper is known as spring copper and by other various names.

SIMCO exports and supplies beryllium copper rods, beryllium copper plates, beryllium copper bars, beryllium copper sheets which are manufactured in accordance with the defined international standards. We specialize in manufacturing of beryllium copper rods. Beryllium copper rods owing to its robust construction and high functional efficiency are extensively used for various industrial applications.

There are various applications of beryllium copper rods, beryllium copper plates, beryllium copper sheets, beryllium copper bars and they can be classified into four groups based on the unique qualities each require:

  • Spring, diaphragms, and pressure sensitive instruments (elasticity and strength)
  • Dies for deep drawing and forging metals and moulding plastics (high strength and hardness)
  • Resistance welding electrodes (strength, resistance to corrosion and conductivity)
  • Non-sparking tools (non-sparking, strength, and hardness)

Copper beryllium alloys are essential in today’s electronics and will be needed to ensure greater reliability and miniaturization in future innovations. Additional benefits of beryllium copper alloys are:

  • Enhanced function
  • Miniaturization of components and products
  • Improved reliability
  • Increased electrical and thermal conductivity

The benefits have been proven. Microelectronic devices made with copper beryllium alloys are more energy efficient, conserve natural resources and extend product life.
